This position will be located nearest the office of the selected candidate and is a time limited position that is funded through August 31st, 2027.Β

Under the supervision of the Dementia Team Lead, this position will function as the grant coordinator for Alzheimerβs Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI) State GrantΒ -Β AdvancingΒ CognitionΒ AndΒ Brain-healthΒ Supports (A-CABS). The Grant Coordinator will provide state level direction and oversight for A-CABSΒ and support the day-to-day responsibilities of the project for all key tasks including monitoring the projectβs ongoing progress, preparing reports, and communicating with partners and the Administration for Community Living.

The goal of Georgiaβs A-CABS project is to achieve a dementia capable Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) system that meets the unique needs of people living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or early-stage dementia and their care partners. A-CABS objectives include 1) creating, expanding, and sustaining a dementia-capable HCBS that includes no wrong door access for people diagnosed with early-state dementia and their family caregivers; and 2) ensuring that Georgiaβs HCBS systems provide innovative and evidence-based services to people with early-stage dementia and their families.
