Maine CDCโs Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ID Epi) Program is looking for a Grants and Contracts Coordinator. ย In this position, you will help oversee and manage the grants and associated contracts that support infectious disease surveillance. ย Your responsibilities will include coordinating with: staff working on deliverables, the Maine CDC Grants and Contracts team, the DHHS Service Center, and the Division of Contract Management. ย You will represent Maine CDC with contracted partners and will ensure that the ID Epi Program is meeting its federal obligations. ย
Core Responsibilities:
As a key member of the ID Epi team, your core responsibilities will include:
โข ย ย Coordinate and participate in grant meetings
โข ย ย Track grant deliverables and ensure on time reporting to federal CDC
โข ย ย Monitor progress and ensure staff are meeting necessary timelines
โข ย ย Identify barriers to progress and work to eliminate them
โข ย ย Support grant writing and performance measure reporting
โข ย ย Monitor contract status, timelines, and ending dates
โข ย ย Draft new contracts, amendments, and modifications
โข ย ย Review and process invoices
โข ย ย Keep program director informed of any concerns that need escalation
โข ย ย Participate in and contribute to overall Infectious Disease Epidemiology Program planning and evaluation activities.
โข ย ย Additional duties as reasonably assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelorโs Degree in Public/Community Health, Health Administration, Health Sciences or Health Education; Public Administration, Government, ย Social Work, or a closely related field and three (3) years professional experience in the ย planning, development, coordination and/or evaluation of health programs or services -OR- an equivalent seven (7) year combination of education, training, and experience.

โข ย ย Excellent oral and written communication skills
โข ย ย Ability to gather, synthesize, and summarize a variety of information
โข ย ย Attention to detail and good time management skills
โข ย ย The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners
โข ย ย State Government procurement and contract management experience
โข ย ย Experience with grants, particularly any experience with U.S. CDC grants
โข ย ย The ability to be flexible and reprioritize during the workday
โข ย ย The ability to work as part of a team AND be an independent self-starter
โข ย ย Computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and finance software
