Position: Regional Mental Health Awareness Training Grant Coordinator
Job Summary: Coordinate the Regional Mental Health Awareness Training Grant Program.
Responsible for all planning, reporting, capacity building, project implementation, training
provision, volunteer recruitment and coordination, local media outputs, resource management,
and gathering outcome data.
Description of Duties & Responsibilities:
β’ Responsible for supervision, coordination, communication & monitoring of projects
β’ Collaborate & communicate with community partners to maximize effectiveness
β’ Obtain and maintain MHFA Instructor certification & provide training sessions
β’ Manage and evaluate advertising and marketing materials
β’ Participate in capacity building, outreach & engagement activities
β’ Coordinate strategic planning meetings with Project Director and community partners
β’ Track grant projects and outcome data
β’ Meet with any staff and Director weekly
β’ Abide by policies of BWI, ECU, and SAMHSA
β’ Cooperate fully with community partners to achieve goals and objectives
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in education, social work, counseling or appropriate related field
β’ 3-5 years equivalent experience
β’ Knowledge and understanding of behavioral/mental health & common issues
β’ Excellent verbal and communication skills
β’ Willingness & ability to work with diverse populations
Travel or Special Conditions:
β’ Some evening or weekend work may be required
β’ Travel for necessary trainings & grant events will be required

Supervisory Relationships:
β’ Program Coordinator will report immediately to Program Director
Level of effort: 100% (1.0 FTE) Hours per week: 40
