System Requirements
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have at least (A) five (5) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management of which (B) at least one (1) year must have been in a project management, supervisory or managerial capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.

I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required (A) experience.

II. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.

III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience.

General Statement of Duties
The Senior Director of Environmental Justice supports cross-agency implementation of Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Environmental Justice Policy and DCRβs Environmental Justice Strategy and will work with the Deputy Commissioner and the Ombudsman to build relationships with elected officials, partner organizations, and other stakeholders in furtherance of the agencyβs Environmental Justice goals.Β The Senior Director of Environmental Justice will identify current environmental justice initiatives and serve as an advisor to the commissioner and senior staff on all environmental justice and equity issues and matters on further developing environmental justice policies and programs.Β DCRβs Strategy outlines actions for promoting and integrating Environmental Justice (EJ) considerations across programs, policies, and activities to ensure the equal access and meaningful involvement of all people residing in the Commonwealth with respect to conservation and recreation and environmental sustainability and the equitable development, implementation, and accessibility to information and resources.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesΒ
This position will work closely with EEA and DCRs Environmental Justice Task Force, DCRβs Climate Task Force, and other DCR staff to support the development and execution of Environmental Justice activities.Β
