Job Summary:

The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department is seeking a part-time instructor to teach WMST BC2150 Intersectional Feminisms during the Spring 2025 semester.

Course description:

We focus on the critical study of social difference as an interdisciplinary practice, using texts with diverse modes of argumentation and evidence to analyze social differences as fundamentally entangled and co-produced. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of this course, the professor will frequently be joined byΒ other faculty and guest speakersΒ who bring distinct disciplinary and subject matter expertise. Some keywords for this course include hybridity, diaspora, borderlands, migration, and intersectionality.

The exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director. This course will be co-taught with another instructor.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

PhD required.

Pay rate: $8,250

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
