RESPONSIBILITIES
· Works collaboratively with the Director of Grants & Contracts Cycle Director to support pre-and post-award grant activities
· Supervise a team of grants accountants, providing training and guidance on claims process and requirements.
· Review and verify accurate billing and revenue are entered in both the billing and accounting systems.
· Provide financial oversight for funds related to grant projects.
· Follow up with funders on outstanding invoices to ensure timely reimbursement on claims
· Assist with Agency audit and prepare audit documentation and requirement for individual funder audit
· Coordinate meetings with Program managers to discuss status of budgets vs actual and action planning.
· Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree – at least 6 years related experience in nonprofit accounting
· Bachelor’s degree – at least 7 years related experience in nonprofit accounting
· Demonstrated knowledge of financial planning and analysis
· Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills o Ability to work within time constraints, manage multiple tasks at the same time and meet deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge of Accounting Software Intacct/Nexonia is a plus
