The Assistant Director of Marketing Initiatives is responsible for implementing the recruitment strategies of over 24 biomedical graduate programs and institutional training grant programs including certificate, masters, PhD, and postdoctoral programs. The position will be the primary content creator and manager for print and digital marketing materials generated by the office as well as be responsible for the placement and maintenance of digital ads. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Design and manage data projects that inform the marketing initiatives developed by the office.
Develop recruitment relationships with academic institutions, professional societies, and companies.
Ensure that data and reporting structures are in place to measure the initiatives' ROI.
Participate in the training and development of more than 15 BGE program coordinators in recruitment and manages the officeβs student staff.
Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring a program's services and assist in administering program budgets and projects and overall operations, when needed.
Apply general professional-level knowledge and principals of function to solve problems requiring the identification and analysis of non-routine factors.
Use independent judgement and discretion to determine or recommend best course of action.
Work Interactions
The Assistant Director of Marketing Initiatives reports directly to the Director of Recruitment & Partnerships and directly supervises the officeβs student staff. This position works closely with the Office of Digital Communication by providing strategic content for communications deliverables. Also, the Assistant of Marketing Initiatives works with program directors and administrators across over 24 programs in BGE.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree required with marketing, recruitment, or science background preferred
Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in higher education or related field
Experience using all major social media platforms such as Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Experience using design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Canva for digital and print promotional content
Experience placing and managing digital ad campaigns on Google and social media platforms
Strong data management, analytical, research, and organizational skills
Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management, and ability to major complex operations in a fast-paced environment
Experience with proofreading, editing, and writing and understanding of writing and positioning of digital content
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to complete tasks on time and with minimal supervision
Self-motivated, ability to set goals and execute business development activities with confidence
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle many different projects simultaneously with consistent accuracy, follow-through, and timely completion of projects
Experience with Google collaboration tools and Microsoft Office suite (Gmail, Calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
Masterβs degree in a business or education-related field preferred
Experience in survey and mailing platforms such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, MailChimp, and Google Forms

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$44,022.00 - $73,406.80Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidateβs individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the Universityβs business needs and external factors.
