The Director, DEIB - Americas will lead the strategy and programming related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging and wellbeing initiatives across the Americas’ region. In alignment with the Talent strategy, it will design and implement programs related to the attraction, retention and development of diverse talent. It will also identify wellbeing initiatives and programs across the region and find integrative opportunities for implementation. In partnership with each country, it will work on adapting programming to meet local needs. It will also identify relevant metrics for measurement to support reporting and ESG needs and partner with the Global Hub for alignment with the global strategy and focus areas.Β

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, lead, execute, and evolve the DEIB strategy across the region focused on attracting, retaining, and developing diverse talent and creating a culture of belongingΒ 
  • In partnership with Talent Acquisition, integrate DEIB principles and practices into hiring processes and identify partners to establish diverse talent pools
  • Create retention and development programs to support the growth of diverse talent
  • Work with senior leaders to embed DEIB principles into ways of working and provide relevant metrics to impact processes and policies
  • Deploy education and tools across the region to build a culture of belonging and create allyship
  • In partnership with Marketing and Communications, establish a DEIB brand externally to support talent attraction and marketing efforts
  • In partnership with Total Rewards, develop a holistic wellbeing strategy and implement relevant programming across the region
  • Partner with Sustainability team on relevant program integration and reporting
  • Introduce best practices in the DEIB and wellbeing spaces as appropriate
  • Partner with Country HR Leaders and key stakeholders to determine local program augmentations and gather feedback for regional programsΒ 
  • Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic, and time bound
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviorsΒ in harmony withΒ DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values,Β and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assignedΒ

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the DEIB space
  • Prior experience with diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging programs, particularly in the US and Canada
  • Prior experience working with multiple geographies and business units
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
