Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with finance to gather information necessary to report to leadership/foundation funders
  • Ensuring all deliverable activities are completed on schedule as designated by the grant
  • Collecting and reporting data relevant to grant activities as required by funding agency
  • Collaborating with members of the leadership team to support the successful implementation of grants that support the expansion of access to patient care within East Texas Community Clinic’s service area.
  • General office administration including correspondence, coordination of meetings and staff support
  • Write and process grant agreements
  • Analyze budget and expenditure reports

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in error management, problem solving, or data analysis preferred
  • Some domestic and global travel (<10%) may be required to support Shire’s current and emerging global footprint
  • Knowledge of fundraising techniques and strategies
  • 3+ years’ experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping and/or project management required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player
  • Ability to initiate, plan, and complete high-volume projects while working under tight timelines
  • Proven experience in process improvement, leading projects with a record of successful implementation.
  • FQHC experience preferred.

Special Requirements

The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye/hand coordination.  Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extensive periods of time.  Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.  Requires frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Ability to work with a moderate noise level in the work environment is required.
