Position Title: INCLUSION INTERVENTIONIST

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Serves as frontline of contact for child care providers through the use of the Warm Line
2.Collaborates with appropriate ELC of Duval staff to ensure children are identified and receive appropriate referrals when needed.
3.Provides in classroom technical assistance to classroom teachers.
4.Identifies training needs of the community and implements strategies to meet needs.
5.Provides community awareness through training regarding strategies, curriculum, and environmental adaptations that allow a child to derive maximum benefit from the child care experience.
6.Plans, develops and conducts training, classes, workshops or learning events for early care and education practitioners.
7.Prepares and delivers presentations about inclusion, including the ADA, benefits of inclusion for all children and how to create inclusive environments at community visibility events.
8.Networks, collaborates and coordinates with other agencies, organizations and programs engaged in related inclusion activities.
9.Represents ELC of Duval in various meetings, networking groups, trainings and/or events as it relates to Inclusion Documents all communication and support using phone logs and/or provider journals.
10.Develops and maintains documentation for ELC board or other required reports.
11.Provides records and reports to the State Inclusion Coordinator.
12.Serves as a resource to child care providers to encourage them to provide Inclusion services at their child care centers.
13.Serves as a gatekeeper or clearinghouse of Inclusion/Special Needs resources for child care providers and ELC of Duval staff and partners.
14.Oversees and organizes Inclusion publications, brochures and reports of ELC of Duval.
15.Demonstrates exemplary customer service, networking and interpersonal skills.
16.Keeps informed of current trends and new professional techniques through participating in professional workshops, conferences and seminars and by reading professional journals and publications.
17.Maintains a high level of professionalism and supports the success of the mission and vision of the coalition.
18.Obtains Intake information to open inclusion cases by completing forms, contact logs and tracking spreadsheets.
19.Obtains inclusion forms and paperwork to review, organize and process to start inclusion process.
20.Sends referrals to referral agencies as needed and continue to establish and maintain relationships with service providers.
21.Create and send Supplemental Support to parent and provider when needed
22. Follow up with parent and/ or provider and establish better relationships with them so they are more likely to contact the Inclusion Warm Line for support for any concerns in the future
23.Consistently follow up and obtain up to date and accurate inclusion cases
