Description

Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for the School of Nursing Grant Coordinator. The primary purpose of the purpose of the School of Nursing Grant Coordinator is to over-see all coordination functions of grants and report to the Project Director. The Grant Coordinator will function as the liaison for the PSU School of Nursing Grants and the academic, practice, and community partners.Β 


Duties and Responsibilities of Position

Grant Coordination- 40%Β 

Function as the liaison for the School of Nursing Grant Coordinator with the academic, practice, and community partners.Β Β 

Offer and coordinate consulting services for new grant partner programs, providing leadership in policies and program specific implementation.Β Β 

Meet monthly with the Project Director to report and discuss the program, progression of grant related training, attainment of measurable objectives, concerns, and community programs.Β Β 

Responsible for overseeing, managing, coordinating and tracking grant project participants and activities,Β Β 

Serve as the primary point of contact for all grant-related events and communication.Β 

Communicate with the Project Director and Evaluator, to assure all Grant Performance Measures are met.Β 

Communicate with stakeholders regarding the School of Nursing Grant programs.Β Β 

Maintain detailed documentation of grant programs, trainees, equipment, and correspondence.Β Β 

Β 

Organization of Trainings-20%Β 

Assure trainee reporting is complete and correct.Β 

Monitor Performance Measures as indicated by the Grant Application. The scheduling and conflicts with trainings and grant required activities, practice sites and partners.Β Β 

Strategize for recruitment of Grant participants.Β Β 

Establish collaborative partnerships with grant stakeholders to provide required grant services.Β Β 

Deliver audience appropriate community awareness of grants, as applicable.Β Β 

Β 

Grant Reporting- 20%Β 

Assist in preparing and submitting quarterly, annual and final progress reports to grant funding agencies.Β Β Β 

Compete all required grant funding agency documentation for relevant grants.Β Β 

Complete Progress Reports, Performance Reports, and Final Program Report in concert with Project Director, Grant Evaluator/Liaison, grant participants, and Academic-Practice-Community Partners.Β 

Creating all subsidiary logs and spreadsheets related to the grant projects.Β Β 

Compete all required by grant funding agency: assist in preparing and submitting quarterly, annual and final progress reports to HRSA (Quarterly Progress Reports, Performance Reports, and Final Program Report).Β  Β 

Β 

Advocacy and Partnerships- 10%Β 

Work with existing academic, practice, and community stakeholder groups to complement current and build additional community education campaigns.Β Β 

Work with academic, practice, and community stakeholders to assure equipment and resources are readily available.Β Β 

Work with existing stakeholders to complement current and build additional community education campaigns.Β 

Establish new collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to meet grant objectives.Β 

Β 

Other –10%Β 

Travel to appropriate grant related trainings, conferences, and workshops, as designated by the Project Director.Β Β 

Participate in grant Evaluation Committee, with reports given to the PSU School of Nursing Advisory Board.Β

Education and Experience:

Required Education and Experience at Hire -Β 

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education and Experience -Β Β 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business, Finance, or Social WorkΒ 
  • One or more years Grant coordination and management
  • One or more years academic leadership and administrative skills

Job Type:Β  Unclassified, Continuing Annual

Salary: $55,000Β 

Appointment Duration:Β  12 months or per Grant funding availability
